Digiweb invests in new Dublin Datacentre suite

Digiweb have opened a new datacentre expansion at their Blanchardstown Technology Campus in Dublin, providing new space for all web projects. This new facility is attracting large interest ranging from virtualization solutions, dedicated servers and co-location from small to very large customers including financial services and disaster recovery solutions.  Irish web hosting and broadband provider Digiweb announces today that it has completed this significant investment in Dublin. This investment provides expansion of an additional fifty percent capacity with the opening of this new data suite at their major hosting facility in the Blanchardstown Technology Campus. Digiweb state that this is part of their on-going investment into datacentre capacity in Ireland. This is expected to expand to tens of thousands of square feet of further capacity over the next three years.  The datacentre currently provides service to a number of high profile customers including the Tower Hotel Group, the Law Society and the Central & Regional Fisheries Board as well as some of Ireland’s most popular websites including iFoods.tv and boards.ie. The range of services includes secure co-location, disaster recovery facilities and providing managed servers and network hardware.  The certified facility includes investment to ensure the highest levels of reliability using N+1 engineering, multiple fibre rings and agreements with Tier 1 providers. Digiweb & UPC (chorus ntl) create Broadband, Phone & TV bundle

Digiweb and UPC Ireland, (parent company of Chorus ntl) is conducting a joint pilot marketing campaign targeting homes across North County Dublin. Consumers in this area can now avail of a bundle from both providers including high speed Broadband & Phone service and Digital TV for just €49.95. This new partnership was born, following the recent alternative broadband conference (held in the Westin Hotel Dublin), were both parties promoted leveraging infrastructure investments. Digiweb today announced plans to introduce a new 10Mb and 45Mb high speed broadband product on its wireless network. The new Digiweb Business portfolio will also include a dedicated 1Gb business service over wireless and fibre, which will form part of a new business brand ‘Digiweb Business’. Digiweb’s new speed announcement follows Minister Ryan’s comments at the ‘Real broadband alternatives conference’ on the need to develop a knowledge economy to ensure growth during Ireland’s challenging economic times.  Minister Ryan has recently highlighted broadband infrastructure as the key infrastructure to keep Ireland on the Global Stage.  Digiweb envisage the development of their new high speed Wireless platforms as key to assisting government objectives on high speed broadband roll out. Digiweb – No 1 Irish Hosting Company

National Broadband and Web Hosting provider Digiweb today announced that it is now officially the largest Irish owned hosting company in Ireland. Following the relaunch of Digiweb’s hosting services and products and recent acquisition of Novara as well as other industry events, Digiweb is now the largest 100% Irish owned hosting provider in the Irish Market, powering tens of thousands of websites and domain names for their customers.
