* Turnover up 285% at €5.6m
* Gross profit up 220% at €2.7m
* Significant announcements in coming weeks
Digiweb Ltd has recorded it’s most successful year to date, with turnover to December 2005 increased by 285% to just over €5.6m up from €1.96m in 2004 and gross profit stood at just under €2.7m up from €1.22m in the same period.
Growth is primarily attributed to the rapid growth in Broadband subscriptions, in particular to the company’s flagship “Metro” product which offers very high speed data and voice services. Strong growth was also recorded in DSL and Satellite subscriptions.
Digiweb plans to continue this growth trajectory during 2006, with the expansion of Metro to a further 20 Irish locations, and to a number of locations in Europe. This year will also see an aggressive attack on the Hosting and Managed Services business and the company will enter the mobile data market later in the year.
Commenting on this announcement, John Quinn, Head of Strategic Development at Digiweb said “This has been an incredible year at Digiweb and a lot of hard work has gone into bringing the Company to where it is today. Our dedicated and skilled staff have massively attributed to our success. We are excited about our entry into new markets this year, and will be making further announcements over coming weeks which will herald a redefinition of the broadband market in Ireland.”
