National Broadband and Web Hosting provider Digiweb today announced that it is now officially the largest Irish owned hosting company in Ireland. Following the relaunch of Digiweb’s hosting services and products and recent acquisition of Novara as well as other industry events, Digiweb is now the largest 100% Irish owned hosting provider in the Irish Market, powering tens of thousands of websites and domain names for their customers.
According to industry observer John McCormac from www.whoisireland.com, Digiweb hold over 10% of market share of hosting in Ireland following it’s acquisition of Novara in April. The acquisition of Novara now means that Digiweb have a growing customer base of over 32,000 webhosting and Datecentre customers in Ireland. Digiweb also continues to operate the highly successful brands register.ie and hosting.ie under the Digiweb group umbrella.
Digiweb is now seeking to build on its rapidly growing organic growth through further acquisition of complementary businesses in the Irish and UK voice, hosting and broadband industry. The company currently have a number of acquisitions under active consideration, with a view to achieving the company’s stated objective of achieving number one position in the Irish telecoms and ISP market.
Dan King, hosting and managed services manager with Digiweb, commented on this announcement.
‘We’re delighted with our progress in this market. There have been a lot of very interesting developments in the Irish hosting market recently; Digiweb’s take over of Novara was the first acquisition in the Irish Hosting Market in over 10 years and this appeared to prompt other companies to exit this market. Following Digiweb’s re-entry into the Irish hosting market in 2006 we have captured significant market share and gained big brand customer wins hosted from our custom-built Irish Datacentre in Blanchardstown. We will continue to deliver hosting products designed specifically for the Irish market.’
